A musical autobiography
Childhood – life begins with a song – mother’s lullaby, father’s and his friends’ laughter… radio music, then listening to cassette tapes, records – Albano and Romina Powers, Toto Cutunio, Georgian pop and folk songs,… understanding them subconsciously, Consciously, thinking about them. (The beginning of my urban music)…
She was singing her heart out… however, I wasn’t singing out loud… I was just giggling to myself…
I went to school to join the singing team, but they didn’t try me… I was very sad.
… every summer, we used to rest for months in the mountains – village In Chargal – I am soaked in the silence of the mountains, the sounds of birds, rivers, stars, the silence of the night, the horses scattered in the mountains, the sounds of sheep, the city and folk songs of my father’s friends in the evening, in the background of the sound of the river in the swamp, the child’s mind learns everything.
… the most significant chord in my life – at the guitar circle with Tamar Chokhonelidze, where a specialist with great taste taught me.
Church – Anchiskhati Cathedral – every weekend at the service, I listen to hymns revived after the Soviet Union, performed by the best choir, Anchiskhati, perhaps this is the best day in my musical consciousness.
I was singing my heart out… However, I wasn’t singing out loud…
Being a student – the process of being accepted into the university team, however… – I could not take this step… .
Job – State Center of Folklore, where I still work today – I learned Georgian folklore here and put it into practice, I have a feeling that there are no different conditions, I am folklore, it is me .
However, if my heart was still singing… I would sing a little more…
On this way, Ucha Pataridze – friend, colleague, good musician, probably taught me to play the harmonica in three lessons.
At the age of 34, Nino Naneishvili, the leader of Ialoni,an amazing musician, innovator, dedicated person to music, invited me to one of the best ensembles “Ialoni ” where I still sing with extraordinary people and friends
