Ana Lolashvili

specialist of the traditional polyphonic research center

I was born in kiziki , in the far east of Georgia, in Dedoplistskaro.
My grandmother gave me the name and the brightest and warmest moments of my childhood are connected to her.
Softness and a smooth perception of music were imprinted in me like a code from my grandmother.
Everyone in my family sang, and I have been involved in these family musical traditions since childhood. It can be said that I set foot in the Nativity Chapel of the Mother of God, where I have been singing since I was 10 years old. I connected my professional life with musical folklore, traditions, church hymns and national music.
The Giorgi Mtatsmindeli Higher School of Church Singing brought me even closer to my colorful world – “Ialoni”..This is the place where you can express yourself, where you just felt freedom, where you creatively “cut into space”.. (as Nino would say) where you have something to say. You say.. where they are just waiting for you..
My search for musical treasures led me to academic choral music. Conservatory is a life challenge and test. It’s as if you are here both as a person and as a “musician”.
My dream has come true – the Hamlet Gonashvili Lottbaro School of Dedoplistskaro Upper Kedi, Arkhiloskalo and Lower Kedi team that I have the honor to lead.
Music has no boundaries.. Who knows where this road will take me.
